For the city of Obzor

The resort of Obzor is located on the border between the regions of Varna and Burgas.
It is 65 km south of Varna.
It is 74 km from Burgas and 37 km from Nessebar, to whose municipal system it belongs. In practice, it has two nearby airports, Varna Airport and Burgas Airport.

Obzor is one of the oldest settlements on our Black Sea coast. The towns first name was Navlochus, and later it was renamed Heliopolis – the city of the sun. The Romans built a temple to Jupiter here and constructed a fortress. Later, it became part of the domain of the nobleman Karvun during the Middle Ages and was known to the Bulgarians as Kozyak. Today, in the small park of the modern town, remnants of columns, capitals, and statues from the Roman temple of Jupiter are displayed. The town is located in a bay that begins to the north of Cape Saint Athanasius and extends south to the Emin Mountain. Its transformation into a promising resort is due not only to its location by the sea but also to its rich opportunities for thalassotherapy. Obzor is a quiet and peaceful seaside resort with magnificent beaches, fresh air, calm sea, and beautiful surroundings. The resorts beach strip is about 10 km long and 20-60 meters wide. The sand is fine-grained and golden in color. It is considered to be the longest beach on our Black Sea coast.
